Overview
The Discovery Center for Science and Technology for Young Scientists at Hanyang University conducts science & engineering camps aimed to help young people cultivate and enhance various capabilities, including their understanding of science and technology, the ability to relate to the importance of science and technology, the ability to apply science and technology in everyday life, the ability for a mode of thinking that conflates science and engineering with other fields, and the ability to form healthy relationships with other people.
① FIESTA camps
Organized by the Discovery Center for Science and Technology for Young Scientists at Hanyang University and conducted by the National Academy of Engineering of Korea, FIESTA camps take place during the summer and winter vacation periods each year for elementary school students from socially disadvantaged backgrounds or multicultural families. With FIESTA standing for “Fall In Engineering Science & Technology Adventure,” the camps provide integrative STEAM experience programs that blend science, engineering, and technology. Each program consists of “cutting-edge Hands-on experiment experiences,” which were independently developed by the center, “the Science-Engineering Olympics,” combining sports and science, and ”creative engineering design,” which stimulates the students' creativity and ability for integrative thinking.

② Atom engineering camps
Organized by The Discovery Center for Science and Technology for Young Scientists at Hanyang University and sponsored by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, atom engineering camps take place in elementary schools in the vicinity of the place of business. In line with the characteristics of the company, atom engineering camps provide STEAM integrative experience programs that blend science, engineering, and technology under the themes of energy, the mechanism of power generation, etc., and each program consists of “cutting-edge Hands-on experiment experiences,” which were independently developed by the center, “the Science-Engineering Olympics,” combing sports and science, and ”creative engineering design,” which stimulates students' creativity and ability for integrative thinking.
